THE DREAM OF BETTER STARTS WITH THE BEST ORGANIC MATTRESS
The Avocado Green Mattress delivers luxurious comfort, ergonomic back support, and naturally cool sleep — without compromise. Crafted with GOLS-certified organic Dunlop latex (made with ≥95% certified organic material), GOTS-certified organic wool and cotton, and featuring up to 6 inches of latex, it’s built for durability and deep, restorative rest. We needle-tuft each mattress by hand and use more coils and ergonomic zones than other brands — to support both your body and your values. Our top-rated organic mattress is fully GOTS organic certified and backed by the most trusted health and safety standards: OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100, MADE SAFE®, and EWG VERIFIED®. CERTIFIED ORGANIC MATERIALS
CERTIFIED ORGANIC LATEX
Instead of polyurethane foams, Avocado mattresses feature GOLS-certified organic Dunlop latex (CU 863637) rubber foam from sustainably harvested from our facilities in India and Guatemala. Our new Box-Top plush model adds two layers of FSC-certified Talalay latex.
CERTIFIED ORGANIC WOOL
Our GOTS-certified organic wool (CU 863637) does what other materials cannot — it wicks away moisture, stays fresh, and acts as a natural fire barrier. It’s also anti-microbial, resistant to dust mites, and offers natural temperature control to help you sleep cool.
CERTIFIED ORGANIC COTTON
Our luxurious, button-tufted mattress covers are made with breathable GOTS-certified organic cotton (CU 863637) — one of the softest and most comfortable fabrics. Organic cotton is cool, wicks away moisture, and, better still, is more sustainable than conventional cotton.
LUXURIOUS COMFORT
From the moment you lay down, you’ll luxuriate in buoyant, floating, stress-relieving comfort. Match your comfort preferences, body type, and sleeping position to find your perfect fit—firm, medium, or plush. Each model offers increasing comfort levels, with a light bounce and a natural yet supple feel. Our new Box-Top Plush model includes soft FSC-certified Pure Talalay latex for unmatched comfort, perfect for side sleepers and those seeking extra pressure relief. Our unwavering focus on 'organic comfort' has made Avocado one of the most popular and best-rated mattresses in America.
HANDCRAFTED
QUALITYAvocado mattresses feature our distinctive, needle-tufted rosettes made from soft, white organic wool — a hallmark of quality. Our skilled craftspeople in Los Angeles use long steel needles to pull organic cotton ribbons through every mattress layer in up to 24 locations. Few brands still employ this time-honored technique. Doing so eliminates the need for chemical adhesives to bind the layers together, significantly enhancing durability and comfort.
WORLD-CLASS
BACK SUPPORTThe secret to our superior ergonomic support and durability is our best-in-class innerspring unit, a patent-pending design we make ourselves. It features up to 1,379 steel coils, individually encased in fabric pockets and arranged in multiple gauges and seven distinct zones. With coils that float independently, it boasts a reinforced steel perimeter for superior edge support. It reduces motion transfer, keeps your back aligned, relieves back pain, distributes weight more evenly, alleviates pressure points, and lovingly contours your body’s natural curves.
SLEEPS COOLER
THAN MEMORY FOAMOrganic materials like wool and latex promote air circulation and moisture wicking without retaining heat, while ergonomic coils ensure adequate airflow. Heat is never trapped, as is common with memory foam — and no "cooling chemicals" are used. The result is a cool night's sleep like Mother Nature intended.
DREAMY FOR EVERYONE
No matter your age, body shape, weight, height, or sleeping style, the Avocado Green Mattress is designed to provide unparalleled comfort and support without sacrificing sustainability. From growing kids and teens to older adults, our mattress is built to accommodate everyone, with no weight limit. It’s more than just an organic mattress—it’s a better luxury mattress.
CERTIFIED ORGANIC MATTRESSES FOR HEALTHIER SLEEP
Our Green Mattress is certified to organic standards set by GOTS, which is recognized under the USDA’s National Organic Program. This is a higher standard than “natural.” It ensures organic farming practices, limits on non-organic substances, ethical business practices, and fair treatment of workers. Our organic, renewable, and regenerative goals are core priorities.
LEADING IN
SUSTAINABILITYAvocado is a “Best for the World” Certified B Corporation with the highest Impact Score in the mattress and bedding industry. We donate 1% of all mattress revenues to environmental nonprofits via 1% for the Planet and have won the Pinnacle Award. We have also been Climate Neutral Certified since 2019.
SAFE EMISSIONS
Every finished Avocado mattress is Greenguard Gold Certified for low emissions and Formaldehyde-Free Claim Verified by UL Environment. This lab testing for VOCs underscores our commitment to reducing indoor pollutants and improving air quality, which is testimony to our dedication to environmental responsibility and your health.
FULL MATTRESS
TESTED FOR TOXINSOur OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certification applies to the entire mattress, not just the cover or latex. This means that every component of our organic mattress has been lab-tested for harmful levels of toxic substances. Avocado is the first innerspring mattress in America to meet this lab-based safety standard for the whole product.
NON-TOXIC VISION
Our Green Mattress is proudly EWG VERIFIED®, representing the pinnacle of health and safety standards. This means it is free from all chemicals of concern and provides full material transparency. It also meets MADE SAFE® certification requirements. Both standards prohibit harmful substances like flame retardants, fiberglass, and PFAS "forever" chemicals. This redundant approach underscores our unwavering commitment to a non-toxic and safe sleep environment.
